My guess is TD Bank has standardized on QFX, which is a Quicken/Quickbooks specific variant of the standard protocol. Doesn't matter that Open File Exchange (OFX) is a near-standardized protocol. TD Bank, one of my key banks, no longer supports direct downloading of transactions by other apps. I'm actually considering a switch to Quicken from Moneydance because it is the de facto standard when it comes to personal finance apps. Newer flavors still lack the same full set of features.
The last really good version of Quicken for the Mac was Quicken 2007. The Windows version has more features than the Mac version.
